Olive Oil Infuser

Olive Oil Infuser

In My Kitchen: March 2016

March 1, 2016

Just like a kid at Christmas, I've been playing with my new olive oil infuser. What a creative concept: make your own infused oil by placing fresh herbs or garlic or even peppers in the cruet and fill with olive oil. I've tried basil, rosemary, thyme and garlic so far. And, the fun part is that you can infuse just a small amount to try with one recipe, and then try another herb or spice in a small amount to enhance another recipe or salad dressing. The possibilities are endless and flavorful!

Postcards

A little inspiration from faraway places.

Lovely Florence, Italy. The architecture is so much more impressive in person. We rode the train to the historic town center to take in the cathedral, the baptistery, the campinile, all magnificent. We were able to view the courtyard of the Palazzo Vecchio, home of the Medicis, in wonder. If this is just the courtyard, the rest of the palazzo must be even more incredibly elaborate. And with a life-size replica of the David outside the front door!
